Some images from induction

This first one actually isn't from induction, but the others are.  Here's a personal favorite of Jamie and I with Jordanna on the van ride to Moveable Feast.

Here we (Jordanna, Rachel, and I) are all dressed up for induction.  Our stylish black-and-white outfits (as opposed to the usual khaki-and-grey) are called our AmeriTuxes.

Wolf One does induction!

Back row (L to R): Melissa, Chris, Sabrina, Traci, me, Amanda, Jeff
Front row: Kathy, Lindsay, Roy, and Brandon

We got cake : )  Each unit had two (cakes, that is) to celebrate after the ceremony.  So legit.

I got to meet two members of the original Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) on which NCCC is based.

The gentleman on the right worked as a camp chef for the CCC at a base in Pennsylvania and the gentleman on the left took a break from high school to join the Navy immediately following Pearl Harbor then served with the CCC, returning to finish his education after those experiences.  About six or seven years ago, all this time later, his high school finally sent him his diploma.  It was awesome to talk with these men who are such an integral part of that history we represent every time we put on the A.
